Flying Solo
10. 100 pairs of shoes becomes 101 pairs of shoes and the only thing you will hear about it is your inner shoe freak screaming “Yipee!”
9. No awful “bachelor party in Vegas weekends” to suffer through.
8. You get to decorate your pad any way you want to, pink lampshades and all!
7. You don’t have to “check in” with anyone. You go where you want, when you want and come home as late as you want.
6. If George Clooney calls, Voila! No Baggage!
5. It’s all about you. You pick the movie, the museum exhibits, and the eclectic new restaurants (where you can flirt shamelessly with the cute waiter). You can spend your extra cash on a spa day instead of having to buy his mother an obligatory birthday gift.
4. Speaking of his mother…
3. Eat the whole cake during the Julia-Roberts-A-Thon–no judgements!
2. No Sport-Support. There will never be a football, basketball or Soccer game on your screen unless you want it there!
1. Think of all of the “first kisses” you’ll get to have until you find your last…
GET OUT THERE AND LIVE A LITTLE (NO, A LOT!)
One of the running themes in Cinderella Was a Liar is the importance of taking time to get to know yourself by filling your life with new experiences and discovering who you really are, what you truly like and dislike and developing as a human being.
This means getting out there and doing the things you enjoy and never allowing yourself to sit on the sidelines and wait to do things your heart is longing to do.
Yes, it is fun to share dessert at the new bistro and discuss what you saw at the Vatican with someone over Espresso but that someone can be a new or old friend, a colleague or even a sibling! The idea that you have to be in a relationship to see Rome or take a walk with an ice cream cone is so dull that just writing about it makes me want to doze off!
The more you get out there and experience life, the more interesting and interested you will be. Best of all, you will meet people who share your curiosity and have things in common with you!
Fill your life up with experiences and make a vow to stop talking yourself out of joy.

NURTURING YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
Water your friendships and relationships, nurture them and allow them room to grow while basking in the sunshine of your support and care. You may think your partner, friends, colleagues and family know how much you love and appreciate them but a little note, email or phone call goes a long way.
Wouldn’t you like to hear it more?
What are some ways you show appreciation?

I hate being single.
